For 13 years, Lincoln Strategy Group (LSG) has been offering our clients customized solutions for their corporate public affairs and public relations’ needs. Our strategies to meet those needs may include anything from creating a campaign management plan with a quantifiable impact to outlining a crisis communication program with winning messages that sway opinion.

My team and I are tasked with surmounting challenges that appear to others to be unscalable; we’re asked to amend scenarios that many assume are difficult if not downright impossible to improve.  At Lincoln Strategy Group, we specialize in creating opportunities and we facilitate watershed moments that make all the difference for our clients.

That’s the work we do. And we do it well.

As Lincoln’s managing director, I have the great fortune of seeing how astute, innovative, and dedicated our team is. Although I’m constantly surrounded by my colleagues’ bar-none excellence, I don’t take it for granted that when our collaborative excellence also earns the attention of our colleagues in the public affairs and communications industry.

Such was the case when Lincoln Strategy Group was recently honored by two leading public affairs organizations: PR Newswire and the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP).

On November 1, AMCP announced the winners of its MarCom awards, for which Lincoln Strategy Group was selected for Platinum and Gold awards in the following categories: Crisis Communication Plan and Response, Campaign, and Public Relations Program. Our nominations appeared alongside some of the world’s most recognizable brands, solidifying Lincoln Strategy as a powerhouse in our field.

Then on November 16, PR Newswire hosted its Digital PR Awards for which Lincoln Strategy Group was nominated for our efforts in both Crisis Management and Public Affairs Campaigns. We won in the category of Crisis Management. This level of recognition is no small feat – our campaigns were recognized from more than 6000 entries. The awards come from the work  Lincoln Strategy Group did with the Nevada Coalition to Protect Ratepayers and Save Our AZ Solar.

Nathan Sproul awards

Chuck Coolidge (Principal), Nathan Sproul (Co-Founder / Managing Director) and Ulrico Izaguirre (Executive Vice President) accept the Crisis Management award from PR Newswire.

In both campaigns, my team and I built strategies that would educate the public about various benefits that would be gained by supporting our clients’ goals. If there’s one piece of advice to take from our potentially award-winning campaigns, it’s this:  Structure and execute as many aspects of your strategy with the client’s desired audience in mind. No successful or potentially award-winning campaign can be achieved by pretending that the client exists in a vacuum. The client has an audience to whom it wants to appeal. Your goal is to build that bridge.

Lincoln Strategy Group builds campaigns in order to champion our clients. Yet it’s always a thrill to know when your work has not only exceeded your clients’ expectations but also garnered accolades from your peers. Truly, there’s nothing more gratifying nor humbling.
